THE GOOD STUFF

How to Make 100K/yr in Construction (part 1)

This week is for the young bucks - the ones not only in trenches, but come Friday so is that paycheck. I know all about it, back in the day I was offered to work the weekend with a civil crew working to get the job out of the ground,  aka deep in the trench. I’d swap out boots every day and the wet ass became the norm. I learned quickly.

#1: What I learned

  • The money doesn't come overnight, the better plan you have the faster 100k will come

  • Get ahead- the more you wait on some else, the longer it will take

  • Get out of the trenches

#2: Get your Certs

  • Start with an OSHA 8 hr

  • Certs will separate you from the sea of people trying to get started because they saw something on facebook.

  • Most people wait until they have a job, don't wait

  • Spend the $30 and separate yourself

#3: Get to the Field

  • BoomNation has laborer/helper jobs posted every week 👈 Start there

  • Show up, make your boss's job easier

#4: Get Better, Advance Your Skills + Education

  • Starting point: get in the trenches with those mud boots!

    • $15/hr is $32k a year

  • + time and hard work

    • Night school (various trades)

    • Welding School

    • Crane Operator School

  • = Get a few years under your belt

    • $32-work every other Saturday (avg 55 hrs/wk)

    • $104k (there an extra 4k for you!)

Like I said, this is part 1. Much more to come

Get started here, I’ll answer any questions that come across 👊
