THE GOOD STUFF

A few years back, Jordan was just a regular working hand like us all, a pipeline welder working 80 hrs a week to support his family and make ends meet.  Traveling the country chasing job after job- it was the grind that we all know too well.

It was a foggy morning in 2017 and the spark was lit at a stoplight after another shooting pain hit from the arm burns that had become all too frequent. It had been 3 yrs of non stop welding in the oilfield and the scars were there to prove it. That's when it hit. What if a welding shirt had a built in leather pad? The instant rush was followed by a rapid fire of questions- has it been done before? Is there a chance? Is it even possible? One thing was clear though-There was not a shirt made by welders, for welders-the big brands owned the market and pushed Chinese merch just to meet spec and teeing it up for the marketing budget to take care of the rest. It was time for a change, and Jordan Beaman was going to do it.

Recently married, Jordan’s family had ties to Peru and a family friend started stitching away. With only 2 people it was a slow start, but it was clear the handcrafted quality was a step above. Long hours and sore hands but things were pointing in the right direction. After a few months, the first product was created. A milestone that was finally checked and the sense of accomplishment settled in.

Then the sparks hit...and the shirt melted. Turns out the wrong material was used. An error that had to be learned, but in reality a major setback. Back to the drawing board with a new focus on material and detail. If it didn't work for the field, it wasn't going to work for Jordan.

From there things started lining up, the attention to details brought forward new stitching designs and within a few months there were 100 shirts, then 400. Things were starting to grow. Then they started selling. Even after a 100 work week on the pipeline, Jordan still made it to Fedex to make the drop off. The passion was there, and the product was starting to come in right behind it.

Fast forward to today, almost 4 yrs later. Those 100 shirts have turned to 20,000. A few pipeliner friends have turned to industry wide loyalty. Celebrities from industry tv shows insist on wearing the brand. It’s an incredible story of grit and determination. From the back of a welding truck to the trusted brand of working hands. The grind isn't over and Jordan hasn't taken the foot off of the pedal.
