9 to 5 in the cube or 5 to 5 in the trenches?
I will say as a working hand that’s explored the world off the jobsite there is something very satisfying about construction, especially when it comes to getting your hands dirty. Dinner tastes better in the evening and that paycheck feels a lot more earned even though it may be less. Not to mention the weekends are much more relaxing after getting kicked like a mule by the summer heat. Blood from the trench tastes better than one from a paper cut, and that's a fact. Just something about it… Give me the 5-5 in the trenches everyday of the week.
